بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

3.44

ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَآءِ الْغَیْبِ نُوْحِیْهِ اِلَیْكَؕ-وَ مَا كُنْتَ لَدَیْهِمْ اِذْ یُلْقُوْنَ اَقْلَامَهُمْ اَیُّهُمْ یَكْفُلُ مَرْیَمَ۪-وَ مَا كُنْتَ لَدَیْهِمْ اِذْ یَخْتَصِمُوْنَ(44)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Imaan

These are (the pieces of) the unseen news that We secretly reveal to you (O Beloved); and you were not (physically) present with them when they were casting lots with their pens as to who should have the guardianship of Maryam, nor were you (physically) present with them when they were disputing.

Commentary

It is stated that the account of the Sayyidatuna Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا is among the matters of the unseen and so Allah has granted knowledge of the unseen to His Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. All accounts of previous Prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ السَّلَام mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah are matters of the unseen.
