Surah Al Imran Translation

3.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

3.1

الٓمَّٓۙ (1)

Alif-Laam-Meem. (These are individual letters of the Arabic alphabet; Allah and His Messenger know their exact meanings.)

3.2

اللّٰهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۙ-الْحَیُّ الْقَیُّوْمُﭤ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Allah is (worthy of worship); except Him no one is worthy of worship. He is Alive on His own accord and the Preserver of (all) others.

3.3

نَزَّلَ عَلَیْكَ الْكِتٰبَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَیْنَ یَدَیْهِ وَ اَنْزَلَ التَّوْرٰىةَ وَ الْاِنْجِیْلَۙ (3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

He has sent down upon you this true Book (i.e. the Qur'aan); confirming the previous books, and He sent down the Tawrah (Torah) and the Injeel (Bible) before it.

3.4

مِنْ قَبْلُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَ اَنْزَلَ الْفُرْقَانَ۬ؕ-اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِیْدٌؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ عَزِیْزٌ ذُو انْتِقَامٍ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Giving guidance to people; and (Allah) sent down the Criterion (i.e. the Qur'aan). Indeed, for those who disbelieved in the verses of Allah; for them is a severe punishment. And Allah is Overpowering, All-Capable of Retribution.

3.5

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یَخْفٰى عَلَیْهِ شَیْءٌ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَ لَا فِی السَّمَآءِﭤ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Nothing is hidden from Allah, neither in the earth nor in the heavens.

3.6

هُوَ الَّذِیْ یُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِی الْاَرْحَامِ كَیْفَ یَشَآءُؕ-لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is only He Who forms you in the wombs of mothers as He wills. Except Him no one is worthy of worship; the Most Honoured, the Wise.

3.7

هُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْزَلَ عَلَیْكَ الْكِتٰبَ مِنْهُ اٰیٰتٌ مُّحْكَمٰتٌ هُنَّ اُمُّ الْكِتٰبِ وَ اُخَرُ مُتَشٰبِهٰتٌؕ-فَاَمَّا الَّذِیْنَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ زَیْغٌ فَیَتَّبِعُوْنَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَآءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَ ابْتِغَآءَ تَاْوِیْلِهٖ ﳘ وَ مَا یَعْلَمُ تَاْوِیْلَهٗۤ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ ﳕ وَ الرّٰسِخُوْنَ فِی الْعِلْمِ یَقُوْلُوْنَ اٰمَنَّا بِهٖۙ-كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَاۚ-وَ مَا یَذَّكَّرُ اِلَّاۤ اُولُوا الْاَلْبَابِ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is He Who has sent down to you (O Beloved) this Book (i.e. the Qur'aan); parts of its verses are with clear meanings; they are the foundation of the Book, and there are other verses with unclear meanings. Those in whose hearts is deviation (from the truth) pursue the verses having unclear meanings; desiring misguidance and seeking its (wrongful) interpretation; and only Allah knows its true meaning. And those having sound knowledge say, 'We believe in it; all this is from our Lord.' And no one accepts advice but the people of intelligence.

3.8

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوْبَنَا بَعْدَ اِذْ هَدَیْتَنَا وَ هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ رَحْمَةًۚ-اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

(Those with sound knowledge say) 'O our Lord, do not cause our hearts to deviate after You have guided us, and bestow mercy upon us from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Greatest Sustainer.

3.9

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِیَوْمٍ لَّا رَیْبَ فِیْهِؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یُخْلِفُ الْمِیْعَادَ۠ (9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

'O our Lord, You are indeed the Assembler of all people on that Day regarding which there is no doubt.' Indeed, the promise of Allah never changes.
