Surah Muhammad Ayat 27-28 Translation Tafseer

Para 26 - حٰمٓ

سورة محمد

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

47.27-28

فَكَیْفَ اِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةُ یَضْرِبُوْنَ وُجُوْهَهُمْ وَ اَدْبَارَهُمْ(27) ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوْا مَاۤ اَسْخَطَ اللّٰهَ وَ كَرِهُوْا رِضْوَانَهٗ فَاَحْبَطَ اَعْمَالَهُمْ۠ (28)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

So how will it be when the Angels will take their souls, striking their faces and their backs? That is because they adhered to that which displeased Allah[1] and were averse to His pleasure, [2] so He annulled their deeds.

Commentary

The statement that displeased Allah Almighty refers to people preventing others from participating in Jihad with the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and aiding the disbelievers. Or, that statement refers to concealing the contents of the Torah in which the praise of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was mentioned.

Here, the pleasure of Allah Almighty means faith and obedience, helping the believers and participating in Jihad with the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
