Surah Ar Rad Ayat 16 Tafseer

Para 13 - وَ مَاۤ اُبَرِّئُ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

13.16

قُلْ مَنْ رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-قُلِ اللّٰهُؕ-قُلْ اَفَاتَّخَذْتُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اَوْلِیَآءَ لَا یَمْلِكُوْنَ لِاَنْفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًا وَّ لَا ضَرًّاؕ-قُلْ هَلْ یَسْتَوِی الْاَعْمٰى وَ الْبَصِیْرُ ﳔ اَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِی الظُّلُمٰتُ وَ النُّوْرُ ﳛ اَمْ جَعَلُوْا لِلّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُوْا كَخَلْقِهٖ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَیْهِمْؕ-قُلِ اللّٰهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَّ هُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ(16)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Imaan

Say you (O Beloved), 'Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?' You yourself proclaim, 'Allah.' Say you, 'So, have you taken those as supporters except Him, who can neither benefit nor harm themselves?' Say you, 'Will the blind and the seeing become equal? Or will (every) darkness and light become equal?' Have they associated to Allah such partners who created something similar to what Allah has created? So, to them, their creation and His creation seemed alike? You proclaim, 'Allah is the Creator of all things, and He Alone is the Dominant upon all.'

Commentary

Whatever one possesses or will possess in this world or in the Hereafter is due to Divine Bestowal; from the astonishing powers of the angels, the amazing strengths of the prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـسَّـلَام and saints رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه, and prophetic and saintly miracles to kingdoms, possessions, and governance—all are from Allah Almighty. One cannot possess anything without the Will of Allah Almighty.
