Surah An Noor Ayat 15 Tafseer

Para 18 - قَدْ اَفْلَحَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

24.15

اِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهٗ بِاَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَ تَقُوْلُوْنَ بِاَفْوَاهِكُمْ مَّا لَیْسَ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ وَّ تَحْسَبُوْنَهٗ هَیِّنًا ﳓ وَّ هُوَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِیْمٌ(15)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

When you would bring it to your tongues after listening to each other, and you uttered with your mouths what you had no knowledge of and deemed it to be trivial, and yet it was most grave with Allah.[1]

Commentary

Some of the companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم committed sins and transgressions. However, they did not remain upon that as they were given the ability to repent. Therefore, it is correct to say that all of the companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم are upright. In the Quran, Allah Almighty has promised all of the companions Paradise and informed all of them that He is pleased with them, and it is clear that Allah is not pleased with the evildoer, nor does He promise him Paradise.
