Para 18 - قَدْ اَفْلَحَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

24.55

وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنْكُمْ وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَیَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ۪-وَ لَیُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِیْنَهُمُ الَّذِی ارْتَضٰى لَهُمْ وَ لَیُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ اَمْنًاؕ-یَعْبُدُوْنَنِیْ لَا یُشْرِكُوْنَ بِیْ شَیْــٴًـاؕ-وَ مَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ(55)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

Allah has promised the believers and those who do righteous deeds among you that He will most certainly grant them authority on earth, just as He granted succession to those who preceded them. And He will most certainly establish their religion for them, which He has chosen for them, and He will most definitely change their state into peace after their fear. They will worship Me, they will not ascribe any partners to Me. And whosoever denies thereafter, then those very people are evildoers.[1]

Commentary

From the beginning of Revelation until ten years after that, the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم resided in Makkah with the Companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم and patiently tolerated the offences of the disbelievers. Thereafter, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم migrated to Madinah and honoured the settlement of the Anṣār with his presence. But, the disbelievers of the Quraysh still did not desist; they announced war and made all kinds of threats. The Companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم would remain at constant risk and keep their weapons at their sides. One day, a companion رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْه said, “A Day will come when we live in peace and are relieved of the burden of our weapons.” Thereafter, this verse was revealed.
