Surah Ash Shura Ayat 33 Tafseer

Para 25 - اِلَیْهِ یُرَدُّ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

42.33-35

اِنْ یَّشَاْ یُسْكِنِ الرِّیْحَ فَیَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلٰى ظَهْرِهٖؕ-اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُوْرٍۙ (33) اَوْ یُوْبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوْا وَ یَعْفُ عَنْ كَثِیْرٍ٘ (34) وَّ یَعْلَمَ الَّذِیْنَ یُجَادِلُوْنَ فِیْۤ اٰیٰتِنَاؕ-مَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ مَّحِیْصٍ(35)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

If He wills, He may stop the wind, then the ships would remain motionless upon the surface of the sea. Indeed in this are signs for every exceedingly patient, most grateful individual, [1] or He may destroy the ships due to what the people have done and forgive much. And that those who argue about Our verses come to know that there is no place of escape for them.

Commentary

The patient and grateful individual is the sincere believer who remains patient in the face of calamity and grateful during times of prosperity. The believer must never be blind to the signs that draw one closer to Allah Almighty, but recognise them in every situation, difficulty, and blessing. A hadith states: “The case of the believer is amazing: his whole matter consists of goodness. This is not the case for anyone except the believer; if prosperity reaches him, he is grateful, and so it is better for him. And if difficulty reaches him, he is patient; and so, it is better for him.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 64
