Surah Ash Shura Urdu Translation

42.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

42.1

حٰمٓۚ (1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Ḥā Mīm.

42.2

عٓسٓقٓ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

ʿAyn Sīn Qāf.

42.3

كَذٰلِكَ یُوْحِیْۤ اِلَیْكَ وَ اِلَى الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَۙ-اللّٰهُ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Thus Allah, the Most-Exalted, the Most-Wise sends revelation to you[1] and those who preceded you.

42.4

لَهٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِی الْاَرْضِؕ-وَ هُوَ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth—and He is the Most-High, the Most-Great.

42.5

تَكَادُ السَّمٰوٰتُ یَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِنَّ وَ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةُ یُسَبِّحُوْنَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَ یَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ لِمَنْ فِی الْاَرْضِؕ-اَلَاۤ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِیْمُ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is near that the heavens will burst from above them and the angels glorify with the praise of their Lord and they seek forgiveness[1]for those on earth. [1] Pay heed! Indeed Allah is the Most-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

42.6

وَ الَّذِیْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اَوْلِیَآءَ اللّٰهُ حَفِیْظٌ عَلَیْهِمْ ﳲ وَ مَاۤ اَنْتَ عَلَیْهِمْ بِوَكِیْلٍ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And those who have taken helpers other than Him, Allah watches over them; and you are not responsible for their actions.

42.7

وَ كَذٰلِكَ اَوْحَیْنَاۤ اِلَیْكَ قُرْاٰنًا عَرَبِیًّا لِّتُنْذِرَ اُمَّ الْقُرٰى وَ مَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَ تُنْذِرَ یَوْمَ الْجَمْعِ لَا رَیْبَ فِیْهِؕ-فَرِیْقٌ فِی الْجَنَّةِ وَ فَرِیْقٌ فِی السَّعِیْرِ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And thus, We have revealed an Arabic Quran to you, so you may warn the central city and everyone around it and warn of the Day of Gathering in which there is no doubt, ˹when˺ a group will be in Paradise and a group in the Blaze.

42.8

وَ لَوْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّ لٰـكِنْ یُّدْخِلُ مَنْ یَّشَآءُ فِیْ رَحْمَتِهٖؕ-وَ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ مَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ وَّلِیٍّ وَّ لَا نَصِیْرٍ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And had Allah willed, He would certainly have made you a single nation. However, Allah causes whomsoever He wills to enter His mercy; and the oppressors will neither have an ally nor a helper. [1]

42.9

اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اَوْلِیَآءَۚ-فَاللّٰهُ هُوَ الْوَلِیُّ وَ هُوَ یُحْیِ الْمَوْتٰى ٘-وَ هُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ۠ (9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Or have they taken helpers other than Him? [1] So Allah alone is the Helper and He gives life to the dead; and He has power over everything.
