Surah Ash Shura Ayat 8 Tafseer

Para 25 - اِلَیْهِ یُرَدُّ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

42.8

وَ لَوْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّ لٰـكِنْ یُّدْخِلُ مَنْ یَّشَآءُ فِیْ رَحْمَتِهٖؕ-وَ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ مَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ وَّلِیٍّ وَّ لَا نَصِیْرٍ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

And had Allah willed, He would certainly have made you a single nation. However, Allah causes whomsoever He wills to enter His mercy; and the oppressors will neither have an ally nor a helper. [1]

Commentary

This is in reference to the disbelievers. They will neither have an ally nor a helper. Nevertheless, those who wronged themselves by engaging in sins other than disbelief will potentially have helpers who will become a means of salvation for them, just as the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: “My intercession is for those from my nation (ummah) who committed major sins.” (Sunan Al-Tirmidhī: 2443)
