Surah Al Qasas Urdu Translation

28.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

28.1

طٰسٓمّٓ(1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Ṭā Sīn Mīm.

28.2

تِلْكَ اٰیٰتُ الْكِتٰبِ الْمُبِیْنِ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

These are verses of the illuminating Book.[1]

28.3

نَتْلُوْا عَلَیْكَ مِنْ نَّبَاِ مُوْسٰى وَ فِرْعَوْنَ بِالْحَقِّ لِقَوْمٍ یُّؤْمِنُوْنَ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

We recite to you the account of Mūsā and Pharaoh with truth for people of faith.

28.4

اِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِی الْاَرْضِ وَ جَعَلَ اَهْلَهَا شِیَعًا یَّسْتَضْعِفُ طَآىٕفَةً مِّنْهُمْ یُذَبِّحُ اَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَ یَسْتَحْیٖ نِسَآءَهُمْؕ-اِنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِیْنَ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Pharaoh expressed arrogance in the earth and made its inhabitants into various groups, he weakened a group (the Children of Israel) among them; he would slaughter their sons and spare their women. He was among those who spread corruption.[1]

28.5

وَ نُرِیْدُ اَنْ نَّمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِیْنَ اسْتُضْعِفُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ وَ نَجْعَلَهُمْ اَىٕمَّةً وَّ نَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوٰرِثِیْنَۙ (5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And We willed that We bestow favour upon those who were weakened in the earthand make them leaders and make them inheritors (of wealth and land).[1]

28.6

وَ نُمَكِّنَ لَهُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَ نُرِیَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَ هَامٰنَ وَ جُنُوْدَهُمَا مِنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا یَحْذَرُوْنَ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And We shall grant them power in the earth, and We will show Pharaoh, Hāmān, and their armies that which they feared from them.

28.7

وَ اَوْحَیْنَاۤ اِلٰۤى اُمِّ مُوْسٰۤى اَنْ اَرْضِعِیْهِۚ-فَاِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَیْهِ فَاَلْقِیْهِ فِی الْیَمِّ وَ لَا تَخَافِیْ وَ لَا تَحْزَنِیْۚ-اِنَّا رَآدُّوْهُ اِلَیْكِ وَ جَاعِلُوْهُ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And We inspired Mūsā’s mother, “Suckle him, so when you fear for him then place him in the river, and neither fear nor grieve; indeed We shall return him to you and will make him among the Messengers.”

28.8

فَالْتَقَطَهٗۤ اٰلُ فِرْعَوْنَ لِیَكُوْنَ لَهُمْ عَدُوًّا وَّ حَزَنًاؕ-اِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ وَ هَامٰنَ وَ جُنُوْدَهُمَا كَانُوْا خٰطِـٕیْنَ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

So the family of Pharaoh picked him up that he might become an enemy and grief[1] for them. Certainly, Pharaoh, Hāmān and their armies were wrongdoers.

28.9

وَ قَالَتِ امْرَاَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَیْنٍ لِّیْ وَ لَكَؕ-لَا تَقْتُلُوْهُ ﳓ عَسٰۤى اَنْ یَّنْفَعَنَاۤ اَوْ نَتَّخِذَهٗ وَلَدًا وَّ هُمْ لَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

The wife of Pharaoh[1] said, “˹This child is˺ a pleasure to the eye for me and you. Do not kill him; perhaps he will benefit us or we ˹can˺ adopt him as a son.” And they did not perceive.
