Surah Al Muzzammil Urdu Translation

73.1

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُۙ (1)

O enwrapped one,

73.2

قُمِ الَّیْلَ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًاۙ (2)

Stand to pray at night, except for a small part;[1]

73.3

نِّصْفَهٗۤ اَوِ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِیْلًاۙ (3)

half of it or a little less than that,

73.4

اَوْ زِدْ عَلَیْهِ وَ رَتِّلِ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَرْتِیْلًاﭤ(4)

or more than that. And recite the Quran slowly with due care and attention.[1]

73.5

اِنَّا سَنُلْقِیْ عَلَیْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِیْلًا(5)

We shall soon place a weighty word upon you.[1]

73.6

اِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ الَّیْلِ هِیَ اَشَدُّ وَطْاً وَّ اَقْوَمُ قِیْلًاﭤ(6)

Praying at night is more suitable for conformity[1] and clearer for speech.

73.7

اِنَّ لَكَ فِی النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِیْلًاﭤ(7)

you have lengthy tasks during the day.

73.8

وَ اذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَ تَبَتَّلْ اِلَیْهِ تَبْتِیْلًاﭤ(8)

And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with absolute devotion.[1]

73.9

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَ الْمَغْرِبِ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِیْلًا(9)

Lord of the east and the west, there is none worthy of worship but Him, so take Him as your Disposer of affairs.

73.10

وَ اصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَا یَقُوْلُوْنَ وَ اهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِیْلًا(10)

And be patient with what they say and leave them in an appropriate manner.
