Surah Al Jumuah Urdu Translation

62.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

62.1

یُسَبِّحُ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِی الْاَرْضِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوْسِ الْعَزِیْزِ الْحَكِیْمِ(1)

All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifies Allah, [1] the Sovereign, the Most-Pure, the Most-Exalted, the Most-Wise.

62.2

هُوَ الَّذِیْ بَعَثَ فِی الْاُمِّیّٖنَ رَسُوْلًا مِّنْهُمْ یَتْلُوْا عَلَیْهِمْ اٰیٰتِهٖ وَ یُزَكِّیْهِمْ وَ یُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ وَ الْحِكْمَةَۗ-وَ اِنْ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیْنٍۙ (2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is He who sent among the unschooled a Messenger from them who recites His verses to them, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom. [1] And indeed before this,they were in clear misguidance.

62.3

وَّ اٰخَرِیْنَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا یَلْحَقُوْا بِهِمْؕ-وَ هُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And others among them who have not yet joined them, [1] and He is the Most-Exalted, the Most-Wise.

62.4

ذٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ یُؤْتِیْهِ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِیْمِ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

This is the Grace of Allah, He grants it to whomsoever He wills. And Allah is the Possessor of Supreme Grace.

62.5

مَثَلُ الَّذِیْنَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرٰىةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ یَحْمِلُوْهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ یَحْمِلُ اَسْفَارًاؕ-بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ لَا یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

The example of those who were made to bear the Taurāt (Torah) then did not bear it is like that of a donkey carrying books. [1] What an evil example of people who denied the verses of Allah. And Allah does not guide oppressive people.

62.6

قُلْ یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ هَادُوْۤا اِنْ زَعَمْتُمْ اَنَّكُمْ اَوْلِیَآءُ لِلّٰهِ مِنْ دُوْنِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Say, “O Jews! If you think that you alone are the friends of Allah and other people are not, then wish for death if you are truthful.”

62.7

وَ لَا یَتَمَنَّوْنَهٗۤ اَبَدًۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَیْدِیْهِمْؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ عَلِیْمٌۢ بِالظّٰلِمِیْنَ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And they will never wish for it (death) [1] due to what their hands have sent forth. And Allah knows the oppressors.

62.8

قُلْ اِنَّ الْمَوْتَ الَّذِیْ تَفِرُّوْنَ مِنْهُ فَاِنَّهٗ مُلٰقِیْكُمْ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّوْنَ اِلٰى عٰلِمِ الْغَیْبِ وَ الشَّهَادَةِ فَیُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ۠ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Say, “Indeed the death from which you flee will indeed meet you, then you will be returned to the Knower of the concealed and the apparent, so He will inform you of what you used to do.”

62.9

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْۤا اِذَا نُوْدِیَ لِلصَّلٰوةِ مِنْ یَّوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا اِلٰى ذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ وَ ذَرُوا الْبَیْعَؕ-ذٰلِكُمْ خَیْرٌ لَّكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O you who believe! When the call of prayer takes place on Friday,[1] hasten towards the remembrance of Allah[2] and leave trade. This is better for you, if only you knew.

سورة الجمعة
