Surah Al Maarij Urdu Translation

70.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

70.1

سَاَلَ سَآىٕلٌۢ بِعَذَابٍ وَّاقِعٍۙ (1)

A questioner asked for the definitely occurring punishment[1]

70.2

لِّلْكٰفِرِیْنَ لَیْسَ لَهٗ دَافِعٌۙ (2)

for the disbelievers, none can prevent it;

70.3

مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ذِی الْمَعَارِجِﭤ(3)

˹it is˺ from Allah, the Possessor of the ways of ascent.

70.4

تَعْرُجُ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةُ وَ الرُّوْحُ اِلَیْهِ فِیْ یَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهٗ خَمْسِیْنَ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍۚ (4)

The angels and the Sacred Spirit ascend towards His Court, ˹the punishment will be˺ on a Day the duration of which is fifty thousand years.

70.5

فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِیْلًا(5)

So be exceptionally patient.

70.6

اِنَّهُمْ یَرَوْنَهٗ بَعِیْدًاۙ (6)

They consider it to be far,

70.7

وَّ نَرٰىهُ قَرِیْبًاﭤ(7)

but We see it near.

70.8

یَوْمَ تَكُوْنُ السَّمَآءُ كَالْمُهْلِۙ (8)

The Day the sky will become like molten silver,

70.9

وَ تَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِۙ (9)

and the mountains will become like wool,
