Surah Al Qalam Urdu Translation

68.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

68.1

نٓ وَ الْقَلَمِ وَ مَا یَسْطُرُوْنَۙ (1)

Nūn, by the Pen and what they write.[1]

68.2

مَاۤ اَنْتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُوْنٍۚ (2)

By the Grace of your Lord, you are certainly not insane.[1]

68.3

وَ اِنَّ لَكَ لَاَجْرًا غَیْرَ مَمْنُوْنٍۚ (3)

Surely, there is everlasting reward for you,

68.4

وَ اِنَّكَ لَعَلٰى خُلُقٍ عَظِیْمٍ(4)

and you possess an impeccable character.[1]

68.5

فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَ یُبْصِرُوْنَۙ (5)

So, soon you will see and they will see too,

68.6

بِاَیِّكُمُ الْمَفْتُوْنُ(6)

which of you was insane.

68.7

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِیْلِهٖ۪-وَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِیْنَ(7)

Your Lord knows best the one who strayed from His path. He knows best those who are guided.

68.8

فَلَا تُطِعِ الْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(8)

So do not comply with the deniers.[1]

68.9

وَدُّوْا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَیُدْهِنُوْنَ(9)

They desired that you somehow show leniency so they can show leniency too.[1]
