Surah Ar Rahman Urdu Translation

55.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

55.1

اَلرَّحْمٰنُۙ (1)

The Infinitely Gracious:[1]

55.2

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْاٰنَﭤ(2)

He taught the Quran,

55.3

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَۙ (3)

created man,[1]

55.4

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَیَانَ(4)

and taught him articulation.

55.5

اَلشَّمْسُ وَ الْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۙ (5)

The sun and the moon have specific orbits.

55.6

وَّ النَّجْمُ وَ الشَّجَرُ یَسْجُدٰنِ(6)

The plants and the trees prostrate.[1]

55.7

وَ السَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَ وَضَعَ الْمِیْزَانَۙ (7)

He raised the sky and set the scales,

55.8

اَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِی الْمِیْزَانِ(8)

˹so˺ do not transgress in weighing.

55.9

وَ اَقِیْمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَ لَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِیْزَانَ(9)

˹Rather˺, weigh accurately, and do not give short measure.[1]
