Surah Al Hajj Urdu Translation

22.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

22.1

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوْا رَبَّكُمْۚ-اِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَیْءٌ عَظِیْمٌ(1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O people! Fear your Lord. The tremor of the Hour is a most severe thing.

22.2

یَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّاۤ اَرْضَعَتْ وَ تَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَ تَرَى النَّاسَ سُكٰرٰى وَ مَا هُمْ بِسُكٰرٰى وَ لٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللّٰهِ شَدِیْدٌ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

The Day you shall see it, every nursing woman will become oblivious to her suckling child, and every pregnant woman will miscarry her child, and you will see the people ˹as though˺ intoxicated and yet, they will not be intoxicated. However, the punishment of Allah is most severe.

22.3

وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ یُّجَادِلُ فِی اللّٰهِ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ وَّ یَتَّبِـعُ كُلَّ شَیْطٰنٍ مَّرِیْدٍۙ (3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Among the people there are those who dispute concerning Allah without knowledge, and follow every rebellious devil.[1]

22.4

كُتِبَ عَلَیْهِ اَنَّهٗ مَنْ تَوَلَّاهُ فَاَنَّهٗ یُضِلُّهٗ وَ یَهْدِیْهِ اِلٰى عَذَابِ السَّعِیْرِ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

for whom it has been written that, whosoever will befriend him, then he will certainly misguide him and lead him to the punishment of Hell.[1]

22.5

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِیْ رَیْبٍ مِّنَ الْبَعْثِ فَاِنَّا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَّ غَیْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَیِّنَ لَكُمْؕ-وَ نُقِرُّ فِی الْاَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ اِلٰۤى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوْۤا اَشُدَّكُمْۚ-وَ مِنْكُمْ مَّنْ یُّتَوَفّٰى وَ مِنْكُمْ مَّنْ یُّرَدُّ اِلٰۤى اَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَیْلَا یَعْلَمَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَیْــٴًـاؕ-وَ تَرَى الْاَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَاِذَاۤ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَیْهَا الْمَآءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَ رَبَتْ وَ اَنْۢبَتَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِیْجٍ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O people! If you are in doubt about the rising after death, then ˹consider˺: We created you from soil, then from a droplet, then from congealed blood, then a lump of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, so that We may show you ˹Our Power˺; and We cause, whomsoever We Will, to stay within the wombs of ˹their˺ mothers until a specified time. Then, We bring you forth as new-borns, and ˹We increase you in age˺ so that you reach adulthood. Among you one dies ˹before,˺ and among you one is returned to the worst phase of age so that he does not know anything after having knowledge.[1] And you see the earth withered, then when We send down water upon it, it moves and expands and brings forth every kind of beautiful vegetation.

22.6

ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَ اَنَّهٗ یُحْیِ الْمَوْتٰى وَ اَنَّهٗ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌۙ (6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

This is because Allah is the Truth, and because He will resurrect the dead and because He has Power over everything.

22.7

وَّ اَنَّ السَّاعَةَ اٰتِیَةٌ لَّا رَیْبَ فِیْهَاۙ-وَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ یَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِی الْقُبُوْرِ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And because the Hour is coming, there is no doubt in it; and because Allah will raise those who are in the graves.[1]

22.8

وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ یُّجَادِلُ فِی اللّٰهِ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ وَّ لَا هُدًى وَّ لَا كِتٰبٍ مُّنِیْرٍۙ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And among the people there is one who disputes concerning Allah without knowledge, and without guidance, and without an illuminating Book,[1]

22.9

ثَانِیَ عِطْفِهٖ لِیُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِؕ-لَهٗ فِی الدُّنْیَا خِزْیٌ وَّ نُذِیْقُهٗ یَوْمَ الْقِیٰمَةِ عَذَابَ الْحَرِیْقِ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

turning his head away ˹from faith˺ so that he may misguide ˹others˺ from the path of Allah. He will be humiliated in this world, and We shall make him taste the punishment of burning on the Day of Judgement.
