Surah Al Munafiqun Urdu Translation

63.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

63.1

اِذَا جَآءَكَ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ قَالُوْا نَشْهَدُ اِنَّكَ لَرَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِۘ-وَ اللّٰهُ یَعْلَمُ اِنَّكَ لَرَسُوْلُهٗؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ یَشْهَدُ اِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ لَكٰذِبُوْنَۚ (1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

When the hypocrites come to you, they say, “We testify that indeed you are the Messenger of Allah.” And Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger. And Allah bears witness that indeed the hypocrites are liars. [1]

63.2

اِتَّخَذُوْۤا اَیْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِؕ-اِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They made their oaths a shield so they prevented from the way of Allah. Indeed that which they used to do is evil. [1]

63.3

ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ اٰمَنُوْا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوْا فَطُبِـعَ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا یَفْقَهُوْنَ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

This is because they believed ˹with their tongues˺, then they disbelieved ˹with their hearts˺ so their hearts were sealed, so now they do not understand.

63.4

وَ اِذَا رَاَیْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ اَجْسَامُهُمْؕ-وَ اِنْ یَّقُوْلُوْا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْؕ-كَاَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌؕ-یَحْسَبُوْنَ كُلَّ صَیْحَةٍ عَلَیْهِمْؕ-هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْؕ-قٰتَلَهُمُ اللّٰهُ٘-اَنّٰى یُؤْفَكُوْنَ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And when you see them, their physiques amaze you. And if they speak, you listen attentively to their speech. ˹In reality˺, it is as ifthey are timbers leaning against a wall; [1] they deem every loud voice to be against them. They are the enemies, so be vigilant concerning them. May Allah destroy them, where do they go wandering?

63.5

وَ اِذَا قِیْلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا یَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ لَوَّوْا رُءُوْسَهُمْ وَ رَاَیْتَهُمْ یَصُدُّوْنَ وَ هُمْ مُّسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And when it is said to them, “Come, [1] the Messenger of Allah will seek forgiveness for you”, they turn their heads; and you will see them turning away in arrogance.

63.6

سَوَآءٌ عَلَیْهِمْ اَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ اَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْؕ-لَنْ یَّغْفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِیْنَ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is the same for them whether you seek forgiveness for them or do not seek forgiveness for them. Allah will certainly not forgive them. [1] Indeed Allah does not guide the disobedient.

63.7

هُمُ الَّذِیْنَ یَقُوْلُوْنَ لَا تُنْفِقُوْا عَلٰى مَنْ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ حَتّٰى یَنْفَضُّوْاؕ-وَ لِلّٰهِ خَزَآىٕنُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ لٰكِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ لَا یَفْقَهُوْنَ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is they who say, “Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allahuntil they disperse.” And to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth but the hypocrites do not understand.

63.8

یَقُوْلُوْنَ لَىٕنْ رَّجَعْنَاۤ اِلَى الْمَدِیْنَةِ لَیُخْرِجَنَّ الْاَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الْاَذَلَّؕ-وَ لِلّٰهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَ لِرَسُوْلِهٖ وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَ لٰكِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ۠ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They say, “If we return to Madinah, then the noblest will most definitely expel the most humiliated from it.” Yet, ˹true˺ honour belongs ˹only˺ to Allah, His Messenger, and the Muslims. Albeit, the hypocrites do not know. [1]

63.9

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تُلْهِكُمْ اَمْوَالُكُمْ وَ لَاۤ اَوْلَادُكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللّٰهِۚ-وَ مَنْ یَّفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O you who believe! Let not your wealth or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. [1] And whosoever will do this, it is they who are the losers.
