Surah Al Jin Urdu Translation

72.1

قُلْ اُوْحِیَ اِلَیَّ اَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوْۤا اِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْاٰنًا عَجَبًاۙ (1)

˹Dear Beloved Prophet˺, say, “It has been revealed to me that a group from the jinn listened attentively (to my recitation) and said, “We heard an extraordinary Quran

72.2

یَّهْدِیْۤ اِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَاٰمَنَّا بِهٖؕ-وَ لَنْ نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَاۤ اَحَدًاۙ (2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

which guides towards morality, so we have believed in it, and we will certainly not ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.

72.3

وَّ اَنَّهٗ تَعٰلٰى جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَّ لَا وَلَدًاۙ (3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And this that the Majesty of our Lord is Most High, He neither took a wife nor a child.

72.4

وَّ اَنَّهٗ كَانَ یَقُوْلُ سَفِیْهُنَا عَلَى اللّٰهِ شَطَطًاۙ (4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And that only a fool among us would speak about Allah in transgression.

72.5

وَّ اَنَّا ظَنَنَّاۤ اَنْ لَّنْ تَقُوْلَ الْاِنْسُ وَ الْجِنُّ عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًاۙ (5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And that we had thought that man and jinn will certainly not ascribe a lie to Allah.

72.6

وَّ اَنَّهٗ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ یَعُوْذُوْنَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوْهُمْ رَهَقًاۙ (6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And this that some men from the humans would take refuge with some males among the jinn, so they increased their rebellion.[1]

72.7

وَّ اَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوْا كَمَا ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنْ لَّنْ یَّبْعَثَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدًاۙ (7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And those ˹humans˺ presumed just as you ˹jinn˺ did that Allah will not resurrect anyone.[1]

72.8

وَّ اَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدْنٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِیْدًا وَّ شُهُبًاۙ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

We touched the sky but found it to be full of powerful guards and fiery stars.[1]

72.9

وَّ اَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِؕ-فَمَنْ یَّسْتَمِعِ الْاٰنَ یَجِدْ لَهٗ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًاۙ (9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And this that we used to sit at certain points therein to listen; so now whosoever listens will find a burning star in pursuit of him.

72.10

وَّ اَنَّا لَا نَدْرِیْۤ اَشَرٌّ اُرِیْدَ بِمَنْ فِی الْاَرْضِ اَمْ اَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًاۙ (10)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And this that we do not know whether evil has been decreed for those upon the earth or their Lord has intended goodness for them.[1]
