Surah Al Anfal Urdu Translation

8.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

8.1

یَسْــٴَـلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْاَنْفَالِؕ -قُلِ الْاَنْفَالُ لِلّٰهِ وَ الرَّسُوْلِۚ-فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَ اَصْلِحُوْا ذَاتَ بَیْنِكُمْ۪-وَ اَطِیْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَ رَسُوْلَهٗۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ(1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

˹Dear Beloved Prophet,˺ they ask you about the spoils of war.[1] Say, “The spoils belong to Allah and the Messenger; so fear Allah and maintain fellowship among yourselves. And obey Allah and His Messenger if you are believers.

8.2

اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الَّذِیْنَ اِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّٰهُ وَ جِلَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَ اِذَا تُلِیَتْ عَلَیْهِمْ اٰیٰتُهٗ زَادَتْهُمْ اِیْمَانًا وَّ عَلٰى رَبِّهِمْ یَتَوَكَّلُوْنَﭕ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

The believers are the very people whose hearts tremble with fear when Allah is remembered;[1] and when His verses are recited to them their faith is strengthened, and they only place their trust in Allah.[2]

8.3

الَّذِیْنَ یُقِیْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ یُنْفِقُوْنَﭤ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Those who establish prayer and spend ˹in Our way˺ from the sustenance We provide for them.

8.4

اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ حَقًّاؕ-لَهُمْ دَرَجٰتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَّ رِزْقٌ كَرِیْمٌۚ (4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is they who are truly believers, for them there are ranks with their Lord, and forgiveness, and sustenance of honour.

8.5

كَمَاۤ اَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْۢ بَیْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ۪-وَ اِنَّ فَرِیْقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ لَكٰرِهُوْنَۙ (5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Just as your Lord brought you forth from your abode with the truth[1] even though a group of Muslims certainly expressed disapproval.[2]

8.6

یُجَادِلُوْنَكَ فِی الْحَقِّ بَعْدَ مَا تَبَیَّنَ كَاَنَّمَا یُسَاقُوْنَ اِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَ هُمْ یَنْظُرُوْنَﭤ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They argued with you in the matter of truth after it had become clear as if they were being herded towards death which they were witnessing.

8.7

وَ اِذْ یَعِدُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اِحْدَى الطَّآىٕفَتَیْنِ اَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَ تَوَدُّوْنَ اَنَّ غَیْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُوْنُ لَكُمْ وَ یُرِیْدُ اللّٰهُ اَنْ یُّحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ وَ یَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكٰفِرِیْنَۙ (7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Remember when Allah promised you[1] victory over one of the two groups, and you desired that you have the one without armed resistance, and Allah willed that He shows the truth through His words and severs the root of the disbelievers.

8.8

لِیُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَ یُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَ لَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَۚ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

So that He establishes the truth and abolishes falsehood even if the wrongdoers detest it.

8.9

اِذْ تَسْتَغِیْثُوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ اَنِّیْ مُمِدُّكُمْ بِاَلْفٍ مِّنَ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةِ مُرْدِفِیْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Remember when you would call upon your Lord so He answered your plea, “I shall help you with the continuous arrival of a thousand angels.”
