Surah Al Hujurat Urdu Translation

49.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

49.1

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تُقَدِّمُوْا بَیْنَ یَدَیِ اللّٰهِ وَ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِیْعٌ عَلِیْمٌ(1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O you who believe! Do not proceed before[1] Allah and His Messenger; [2] and fear Allah—Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

49.2

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَرْفَعُوْۤا اَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِیِّ وَ لَا تَجْهَرُوْا لَهٗ بِالْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ اَنْ تَحْبَطَ اَعْمَالُكُمْ وَ اَنْتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُوْنَ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O you who believe! Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and neither speak loudly to him the way you speak loudly to one another lest your deeds should become void while you do not perceive. [1]

49.3

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یَغُضُّوْنَ اَصْوَاتَهُمْ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ اُولٰٓىٕكَ الَّذِیْنَ امْتَحَنَ اللّٰهُ قُلُوْبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوٰىؕ-لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّ اَجْرٌ عَظِیْمٌ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah, it is they whose hearts Allahhas tested for piety; for them there is forgiveness and great reward. [1]

49.4

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یُنَادُوْنَكَ مِنْ وَّرَآءِ الْحُجُرٰتِ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا یَعْقِلُوْنَ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Those who call out to you from beyond your chambers, most of them have no sense. [1]

49.5

وَ لَوْ اَنَّهُمْ صَبَرُوْا حَتّٰى تَخْرُ جَ اِلَیْهِمْ لَكَانَ خَیْرًا لَّهُمْؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And had they been patient until you came to them, it would have been better for them. And Allah is Most-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

49.6

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْۤا اِنْ جَآءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌۢ بِنَبَاٍ فَتَبَیَّنُوْۤا اَنْ تُصِیْبُوْا قَوْمًۢا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوْا عَلٰى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نٰدِمِیْنَ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O you who believe! When a transgressor brings news to you, verify it, lest you should offend a people unknowingly, then you become regretful for what you have done. [1]

49.7

وَ اعْلَمُوْۤا اَنَّ فِیْكُمْ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِؕ-لَوْ یُطِیْعُكُمْ فِیْ كَثِیْرٍ مِّنَ الْاَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَ لٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ حَبَّبَ اِلَیْكُمُ الْاِیْمَانَ وَ زَیَّنَهٗ فِیْ قُلُوْبِكُمْ وَ كَرَّهَ اِلَیْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ وَ الْفُسُوْقَ وَ الْعِصْیَانَؕ-اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الرّٰشِدُوْنَۙ (7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And know that the Messenger of Allah is among you; were he to comply with many ofyour matters, you would most certainly suffer, [1] however, Allah has made faith dear to you and beautified it in your hearts; and He made you averse to disbelief, and transgression and disobedience. Such are they who are rightly guided[2]

49.8

فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَ نِعْمَةًؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ عَلِیْمٌ حَكِیْمٌ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

through Allah’s Grace and Blessing. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

49.9

وَ اِنْ طَآىٕفَتٰنِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ اقْتَتَلُوْا فَاَصْلِحُوْا بَیْنَهُمَاۚ-فَاِنْۢ بَغَتْ اِحْدٰىهُمَا عَلَى الْاُخْرٰى فَقَاتِلُوا الَّتِیْ تَبْغِیْ حَتّٰى تَفِیْٓءَ اِلٰۤى اَمْرِ اللّٰهِۚ-فَاِنْ فَآءَتْ فَاَصْلِحُوْا بَیْنَهُمَا بِالْعَدْلِ وَ اَقْسِطُوْاؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ یُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِیْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And if two Muslim groups fight one another, [1] then make peace between them. [2] So if one of them transgresses against the other, fight the transgressors until they return to the Command of Allah. Then if they return, make peace between them equitably and be just. Indeed Allah loves the just.
