Surah Sad Urdu Translation

38.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.

38.1

صٓ وَ الْقُرْاٰنِ ذِی الذِّكْرِﭤ(1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Ṣād, by the Quran which consists of advice.

38.2

بَلِ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِیْ عِزَّةٍ وَّ شِقَاقٍ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

But the disbelievers are in arrogance and conflict.

38.3

كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوْا وَّ لَاتَ حِیْنَ مَنَاصٍ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

So many generations have We destroyed; they called out even though there was no time to escape.[1]

38.4

وَ عَجِبُوْۤا اَنْ جَآءَهُمْ مُّنْذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ٘-وَ قَالَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ هٰذَا سٰحِرٌ كَذَّابٌﭕ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And they were surprised by this that a warner came to them from among them and the disbelievers said, “This is a sorcerer, a great liar.

38.5

اَجَعَلَ الْاٰلِهَةَ اِلٰهًا وَّاحِدًا ۚۖ-اِنَّ هٰذَا لَشَیْءٌ عُجَابٌ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Has he made many gods one God? This is a very strange matter.” [1]

38.6

وَ انْطَلَقَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْهُمْ اَنِ امْشُوْا وَ اصْبِرُوْا عَلٰۤى اٰلِهَتِكُمْ ۚۖ-اِنَّ هٰذَا لَشَیْءٌ یُّرَادُۚ (6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And the chiefs among them walked away ˹saying˺, “˹O people!˺ You walk away too and be firm upon believing in your gods. In this matter, there is certainly something intended.

38.7

مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهٰذَا فِی الْمِلَّةِ الْاٰخِرَةِ ۚۖ-اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا اخْتِلَاقٌﭕ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

We did not hear of this in the last religion (Christianity); this is only a fabrication.

38.8

ءَاُنْزِلَ عَلَیْهِ الذِّكْرُ مِنْۢ بَیْنِنَاؕ-بَلْ هُمْ فِیْ شَكٍّ مِّنْ ذِكْرِیْۚ-بَلْ لَّمَّا یَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِﭤ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Has the Remembrance (Quran) been sent down upon him among us?” Rather, they are in doubt concerning My Book. In fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment.

38.9

اَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَآىٕنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ الْعَزِیْزِ الْوَهَّابِۚ (9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Do they have the treasures of the mercy of your Most-Exalted, Most-Bestowing Lord? [1]
