Surah Al Qariah Urdu Translation

101.1

اَلْقَارِعَةُۙ (1)

The catastrophic event. [1]

101.2

مَا الْقَارِعَةُۚ (2)

What is the catastrophic event?

101.3

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُﭤ(3)

And what do you know of the catastrophic event? [1]

101.4

یَوْمَ یَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِۙ (4)

The Day humankind will be like scattered moths,

101.5

وَ تَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوْشِﭤ(5)

and the mountains will become like colourful, carded wool.

101.6

فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِیْنُهٗۙ (6)

As for the one whose scales will be heavy, [1]

101.7

فَهُوَ فِیْ عِیْشَةٍ رَّاضِیَةٍﭤ(7)

he will be in a blissful life.

101.8

وَ اَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِیْنُهٗۙ (8)

As for the one whose scales will be light,

101.9

فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِیَةٌﭤ(9)

his abode will be Hāwiyah (in Hell).

101.10

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَاهِیَهْﭤ(10)

What do you know of it?
