Surah Al Anfal Translation

8.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

8.1

یَسْــٴَـلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْاَنْفَالِؕ -قُلِ الْاَنْفَالُ لِلّٰهِ وَ الرَّسُوْلِۚ-فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَ اَصْلِحُوْا ذَاتَ بَیْنِكُمْ۪-وَ اَطِیْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَ رَسُوْلَهٗۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ(1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O Beloved, they ask you concerning the spoils of war; say you, 'Allah and the Messenger are the owners of the spoils of war. So, fear Allah and keep matters amended amongst yourselves, and obey Allah and the Messenger, if you believe.'

8.2

اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الَّذِیْنَ اِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّٰهُ وَ جِلَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَ اِذَا تُلِیَتْ عَلَیْهِمْ اٰیٰتُهٗ زَادَتْهُمْ اِیْمَانًا وَّ عَلٰى رَبِّهِمْ یَتَوَكَّلُوْنَﭕ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Only they are believers whose hearts fear when Allah is remembered; and when His verses are recited upon them, their faith increases; and who trust only in their Lord.

8.3

الَّذِیْنَ یُقِیْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ یُنْفِقُوْنَﭤ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Those who keep Salah established, and spend some in Our Path from what We have provided for them.

8.4

اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ حَقًّاؕ-لَهُمْ دَرَجٰتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَّ رِزْقٌ كَرِیْمٌۚ (4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Only these are true Muslims; for them are ranks with their Lord, and is forgiveness and honourable sustenance.

8.5

كَمَاۤ اَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْۢ بَیْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ۪-وَ اِنَّ فَرِیْقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ لَكٰرِهُوْنَۙ (5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O Beloved, the way your Lord caused you to come forth from your home with the truth (for the battle of Badr), and a group of Muslims were verily unhappy over it (due to a shortage of men and weapons).

8.6

یُجَادِلُوْنَكَ فِی الْحَقِّ بَعْدَ مَا تَبَیَّنَ كَاَنَّمَا یُسَاقُوْنَ اِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَ هُمْ یَنْظُرُوْنَﭤ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Disputing with you in the true matter after it had been made clear, as if they were being driven towards death, which they could see in front of their very eyes.

8.7

وَ اِذْ یَعِدُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اِحْدَى الطَّآىٕفَتَیْنِ اَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَ تَوَدُّوْنَ اَنَّ غَیْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُوْنُ لَكُمْ وَ یُرِیْدُ اللّٰهُ اَنْ یُّحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ وَ یَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكٰفِرِیْنَۙ (7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And remember when Allah promised you that one of the two groups (of enemies) is for you, and you wished to confront the one which posed no danger (the group with no weapons), and Allah willed to prove the truth as the truth with His Words, and to cut the root of the disbelievers.

8.8

لِیُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَ یُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَ لَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَۚ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In order that He may attest the truth as the truth and falsehood as falsehood, even if the culprits dislike it.

8.9

اِذْ تَسْتَغِیْثُوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ اَنِّیْ مُمِدُّكُمْ بِاَلْفٍ مِّنَ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةِ مُرْدِفِیْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

When you (O Beloved) were supplicating for help from your Lord, He henceforth answered your prayers; that 'I am about to give you assistance with a thousand angels, one following the other.'

Surah Al Anfal Translation

سورة الانفال
