Surah Al Qariah Translation

101.1

اَلْقَارِعَةُۙ (1)

(The event) which causes the heart to tremble.

101.2

مَا الْقَارِعَةُۚ (2)

What is that (event) which causes the heart to tremble?

101.3

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُﭤ(3)

And what have you understood what is (the event) which causes the heart to tremble?

101.4

یَوْمَ یَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِۙ (4)

The Day when people will be like scattered moths.

101.5

وَ تَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوْشِﭤ(5)

And mountains will be like scattered particles of wool.

101.6

فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِیْنُهٗۙ (6)

So, as for the one whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy.

101.7

فَهُوَ فِیْ عِیْشَةٍ رَّاضِیَةٍﭤ(7)

He is in desired bliss.

101.8

وَ اَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِیْنُهٗۙ (8)

And as for the one whose scales (of good deeds) are light.

101.9

فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِیَةٌﭤ(9)

He is in the lap of the one which causes disgrace.

101.10

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَاهِیَهْﭤ(10)

And what have you understood what is the causer of disgrace?

سورة القارعة
