Surah Al Maarij Translation

70.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

70.1

سَاَلَ سَآىٕلٌۢ بِعَذَابٍ وَّاقِعٍۙ (1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

An asker (i.e. Nadr Bin Haarith) is (mockingly) asking for that punishment.

70.2

لِّلْكٰفِرِیْنَ لَیْسَ لَهٗ دَافِعٌۙ (2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Which is going to take place upon the disbelievers; no one can avert it.

70.3

مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ذِی الْمَعَارِجِﭤ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

That (punishment) will be from Allah, the Owner of the heights.

70.4

تَعْرُجُ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةُ وَ الرُّوْحُ اِلَیْهِ فِیْ یَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهٗ خَمْسِیْنَ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍۚ (4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

The angels and Jibra'eel ascend towards His Majestic Court, that punishment will befall the disbelievers on a Day the duration of which is fifty thousand years (according to the worldly calculation of time).

70.5

فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِیْلًا(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Therefore (O Beloved), be admirably patient.

70.6

اِنَّهُمْ یَرَوْنَهٗ بَعِیْدًاۙ (6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They assume it (i.e. the punishment) to be far away.

70.7

وَّ نَرٰىهُ قَرِیْبًاﭤ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Whereas, We are seeing (that its inevitable happening) is near.

70.8

یَوْمَ تَكُوْنُ السَّمَآءُ كَالْمُهْلِۙ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

The Day when the sky will be like molten silver.

70.9

وَ تَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِۙ (9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And the mountains will become light like wool.
