Surah Al Munafiqun Translation

63.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

63.1

اِذَا جَآءَكَ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ قَالُوْا نَشْهَدُ اِنَّكَ لَرَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِۘ-وَ اللّٰهُ یَعْلَمُ اِنَّكَ لَرَسُوْلُهٗؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ یَشْهَدُ اِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ لَكٰذِبُوْنَۚ (1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

When the hypocrites present themselves in your august court (O Beloved), they say; that 'We testify that indeed your respected self are certainly Allah's Messenger.' And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are definitely liars (in that they do not believe in what they say).

63.2

اِتَّخَذُوْۤا اَیْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِؕ-اِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ(2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They have made their oaths as a shield (for their hypocrisy and misdeeds), thus prevented (other people) from the path of Allah; indeed, they commit extremely evil deeds.

63.3

ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ اٰمَنُوْا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوْا فَطُبِـعَ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا یَفْقَهُوْنَ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

This is because that they accepted faith with their tongues then disbelieved with their hearts, so a seal has been set upon their hearts, therefore now they do not understand anything.

63.4

وَ اِذَا رَاَیْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ اَجْسَامُهُمْؕ-وَ اِنْ یَّقُوْلُوْا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْؕ-كَاَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌؕ-یَحْسَبُوْنَ كُلَّ صَیْحَةٍ عَلَیْهِمْؕ-هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْؕ-قٰتَلَهُمُ اللّٰهُ٘-اَنّٰى یُؤْفَكُوْنَ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And when you see them, their (outward) bodies would please you; and if they speak, so you would listen carefully to their speech, as if they are wooden panels propped up against a wall (unable to stand on their own); they think every shout is against them; they are the (worst) enemies, so beware of them; may Allah slay them, where are they returning to?

63.5

وَ اِذَا قِیْلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا یَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ لَوَّوْا رُءُوْسَهُمْ وَ رَاَیْتَهُمْ یَصُدُّوْنَ وَ هُمْ مُّسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And when it is said to them that 'Come! Allah's Messenger may seek forgiveness for you.' So, they turn their heads sideways and you see them turn their faces away in arrogance.

63.6

سَوَآءٌ عَلَیْهِمْ اَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ اَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْؕ-لَنْ یَّغْفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِیْنَ(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is the same for them, whether you seek or do not seek forgiveness for them; Allah will never forgive them; indeed, Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

63.7

هُمُ الَّذِیْنَ یَقُوْلُوْنَ لَا تُنْفِقُوْا عَلٰى مَنْ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ حَتّٰى یَنْفَضُّوْاؕ-وَ لِلّٰهِ خَزَآىٕنُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ لٰكِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ لَا یَفْقَهُوْنَ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They are the ones who say, 'Do not spend upon those who are with Allah's Messenger until they become distressed.' And only to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not have sense.

63.8

یَقُوْلُوْنَ لَىٕنْ رَّجَعْنَاۤ اِلَى الْمَدِیْنَةِ لَیُخْرِجَنَّ الْاَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الْاَذَلَّؕ-وَ لِلّٰهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَ لِرَسُوْلِهٖ وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَ لٰكِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ۠ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

They say, 'If we return to Madinah, then indeed the honourable one will soon banish the humble one from it.' Whereas, honour (truly) belongs to Allah and to His Messenger and to the Muslims, but the hypocrites know not.

63.9

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تُلْهِكُمْ اَمْوَالُكُمْ وَ لَاۤ اَوْلَادُكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللّٰهِۚ-وَ مَنْ یَّفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

O believers! Let not your wealth or your children (or) anything cause you to neglect the remembrance of Allah. And whoever does this, so it is they who are in loss.

Surah Al Munafiqun Translation

سورة المنفقون
