Surah Al Infitar Translation

82.1

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتْۙ (1)

When the sky has split open.

82.2

وَ اِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْۙ (2)

And when the stars have fallen.

82.3

وَ اِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْۙ (3)

And when the oceans are caused to flow away.

82.4

وَ اِذَا الْقُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْۙ (4)

And when the graves are scraped off (and the dead would be resurrected).

82.5

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَ اَخَّرَتْﭤ(5)

Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it has left behind.

82.6

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِیْمِۙ (6)

O mankind! What has deceived you (and took you away) from your Lord, the Most Generous?

82.7

الَّذِیْ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰىكَ فَعَدَلَكَۙ (7)

The One Who created you, then made you perfectly, then proportioned you.

82.8

فِیْۤ اَیِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَﭤ(8)

He formed you into whatever shape He willed.

82.9

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّیْنِۙ (9)

Never (become arrogant)! Rather, you belie the establishment of justice (i.e. the Day of Judgement).

82.10

وَ اِنَّ عَلَیْكُمْ لَحٰفِظِیْنَۙ (10)

And there are some guardians indeed (appointed) over you.
