Surah An Naml Translation

27.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

27.1

طٰسٓ- تِلْكَ اٰیٰتُ الْقُرْاٰنِ وَ كِتَابٍ مُّبِیْنٍۙ (1)

Ta-Seen. (These are individual letters of the Arabic alphabet; Allah and His Messenger know their exact meanings.) These are the verses of the Qur'aan and the Luminous Book (i.e. the Preserved Tablet or the Qur'aan itself).

27.2

هُدًى وَّ بُشْرٰى لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَۙ (2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Guidance and glad tidings for the believers.

27.3

الَّذِیْنَ یُقِیْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَ یُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَ هُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ یُوْقِنُوْنَ(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Those who keep Salah established, and pay Zakah and are certain of the Hereafter.

27.4

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ زَیَّنَّا لَهُمْ اَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُمْ یَعْمَهُوْنَﭤ(4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their (bad) deeds seem good to them; they are hence wandering.

27.5

اُولٰٓىٕكَ الَّذِیْنَ لَهُمْ سُوْٓءُ الْعَذَابِ وَ هُمْ فِی الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمُ الْاَخْسَرُوْنَ(5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is they for whom is a horrible punishment, it is them who will be the worst losers in the Hereafter.

27.6

وَ اِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْاٰنَ مِنْ لَّدُنْ حَكِیْمٍ عَلِیْمٍٝ (6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And (O Beloved), you are indeed taught the Qur'aan from the Most Wise, All-Knowing.

27.7

اِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِاَهْلِهٖۤ اِنِّیْۤ اٰنَسْتُ نَارًاؕ-سَاٰتِیْكُمْ مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ اَوْ اٰتِیْكُمْ بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُوْنَ(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

(Remember) when Moosa said to his wife, 'I have sighted a fire; I will soon bring some news about it to you, or bring a live spark from it for you so that you may warm yourselves.'

27.8

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُوْدِیَ اَنْۢ بُوْرِكَ مَنْ فِی النَّارِ وَ مَنْ حَوْلَهَاؕ-وَ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ(8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

So, when he reached it, it was proclaimed, 'Blessed is he who is in the location of the place of manifestation of that fire; meaning, Moosa, and those who are in its surroundings; meaning, the angels. And Purity is to Allah; the Lord of all the worlds.'

27.9

یٰمُوْسٰۤى اِنَّهٗۤ اَنَا اللّٰهُ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُۙ (9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

'O Moosa, the matter is this; that I am Allah, the Dignified, the All-Wise.'
