Surah Al Inshiqaq Translation

84.1

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتْۙ (1)

When the heaven split open.

84.2

وَ اَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَ حُقَّتْۙ (2)

And listens to the command of its Lord, and only this (i.e. listening to the command) befits it.

84.3

وَ اِذَا الْاَرْضُ مُدَّتْﭤ(3)

And when the earth is stretched out.

84.4

وَ اَلْقَتْ مَا فِیْهَا وَ تَخَلَّتْۙ (4)

And it casts out whatever is in it and becomes empty.

84.5

وَ اَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَ حُقَّتْﭤ(5)

And it listens to the command of its Lord, and only this befits it.

84.6

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلٰقِیْهِۚ (6)

O mankind! Indeed, you have to certainly run towards your Lord, then you have to meet Him.

84.7

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِیَمِیْنِهٖۙ (7)

So, whosoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand.

84.8

فَسَوْفَ یُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا یَّسِیْرًاۙ (8)

Soon an easy account will be taken from him.

84.9

وَّ یَنْقَلِبُ اِلٰۤى اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًاﭤ(9)

And he will return to his family happily.

84.10

وَ اَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهٖۙ (10)

And whoever is given his record of deeds from behind his back.
