Surah Al Fath Translation

48.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

48.1

اِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُّبِیْنًاۙ (1)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

We have indeed granted a clear victory for you (O Beloved).

48.2

لِّیَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللّٰهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْۢبِكَ وَ مَا تَاَخَّرَ وَ یُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهٗ عَلَیْكَ وَ یَهْدِیَكَ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِیْمًاۙ (2)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

So that Allah may, for your sake, forgive the sins of your former ones and of your latter ones, and complete His favours upon you, and show you the Straight Path (of fulfilling the responsibilities with regards to Prophethood).

48.3

وَّ یَنْصُرَكَ اللّٰهُ نَصْرًا عَزِیْزًا(3)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And Allah may provide you enormous help.

48.4

هُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْزَلَ السَّكِیْنَةَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ لِیَزْدَادُوْۤا اِیْمَانًا مَّعَ اِیْمَانِهِمْؕ-وَ لِلّٰهِ جُنُوْدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-وَ كَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِیْمًا حَكِیْمًاۙ (4)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It is He Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers, so that they may increase (i.e. strengthen) in faith, along with their (existing) faith. And only to Allah belong the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is All-Knowing, Ever Wise.

48.5

لِّیُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِیْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِیْنَ فِیْهَا وَ یُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَیِّاٰتِهِمْؕ-وَ كَانَ ذٰلِكَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ فَوْزًا عَظِیْمًاۙ (5)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In order that He may admit the believing men and the believing women into the Gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide forever, and to relieve them of their misdeeds. And this is the supreme success according to Allah.

48.6

وَّ یُعَذِّبَ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ وَ الْمُنٰفِقٰتِ وَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ وَ الْمُشْرِكٰتِ الظَّآنِّیْنَ بِاللّٰهِ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِؕ-عَلَیْهِمْ دَآىٕرَةُ السَّوْءِۚ-وَ غَضِبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِمْ وَ لَعَنَهُمْ وَ اَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَؕ-وَ سَآءَتْ مَصِیْرًا(6)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And (in order) to punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and the polytheist women, who have evil thoughts concerning Allah. Only upon them is the evil turn (of destruction); and Allah inflicted wrath upon them, and cursed them, and prepared Hell for them; and what an evil end.

48.7

وَ لِلّٰهِ جُنُوْدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-وَ كَانَ اللّٰهُ عَزِیْزًا حَكِیْمًا(7)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

And only to Allah belong all the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Most Honourable, Ever Wise.

48.8

اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ شَاهِدًا وَّ مُبَشِّرًا وَّ نَذِیْرًاۙ (8)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

We have indeed sent you (O Beloved) as a Present Eyewitness (i.e. Haazir and Naazir); and a Conveyor of glad tidings, and a Warner.

48.9

لِّتُؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَ تُعَزِّرُوْهُ وَ تُوَقِّرُوْهُؕ-وَ تُسَبِّحُوْهُ بُكْرَةً وَّ اَصِیْلًا(9)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

In order that, O people, you may believe in Allah and His Messenger, and honour and revere the Messenger (i.e. the Beloved Prophet Muhammad), and you should glorify Allah, morning and evening.
