Surah As Saffat Translation

37.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

37.1

وَ الصّٰٓفّٰتِ صَفًّاۙ (1)

By the oath of those who arrange themselves in proper rows.

37.2

فَالزّٰجِرٰتِ زَجْرًاۙ (2)

And then by those who drive by scolding.

37.3

فَالتّٰلِیٰتِ ذِكْرًاۙ (3)

And by those groups who read the Qur'aan.

37.4

اِنَّ اِلٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌﭤ(4)

Indeed, your God is definitely One.

37.5

رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَا بَیْنَهُمَا وَ رَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِﭤ(5)

The Owner of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and the Owners of the Easts (i.e. every point of the sun's rising).

37.6

اِنَّا زَیَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنْیَا بِزِیْنَةِ ﹰالْكَوَاكِبِۙ (6)

We have indeed adorned the lowest sky with the decoration of stars.

37.7

وَ حِفْظًا مِّنْ كُلِّ شَیْطٰنٍ مَّارِدٍۚ (7)

And in order to protect it from every rebellious devil.

37.8

لَا یَسَّمَّعُوْنَ اِلَى الْمَلَاِ الْاَعْلٰى وَ یُقْذَفُوْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍۗۖ (8)

They (the devils) cannot listen to the exalted realm (of the angels), and they are pelted from every side.

37.9

دُحُوْرًا وَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَّاصِبٌۙ (9)

To chase them away, and for them is a never-ending punishment.

سورة الصفت
