Surah ash shuara Translation

26.0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

26.1

طٰسٓمّٓ(1)

Ta-Seen-Meem. (These are individual letters of the Arabic alphabet; Allah and His Messenger know their exact meanings.)

26.2

تِلْكَ اٰیٰتُ الْكِتٰبِ الْمُبِیْنِ(2)

These are the verses of the Luminous Book (i.e. the Qur'aan).

26.3

لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ اَلَّا یَكُوْنُوْا مُؤْمِنِیْنَ(3)

Perhaps you may put your life at risk (O Beloved) by grieving over them because they did not believe.

26.4

اِنْ نَّشَاْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَیْهِمْ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اٰیَةً فَظَلَّتْ اَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خٰضِعِیْنَ(4)

If We will, We could henceforth send down upon them a sign from the sky so that the stuck-up ones amongst them would remain bowed before it.

26.5

وَ مَا یَاْتِیْهِمْ مِّنْ ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ الرَّحْمٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ اِلَّا كَانُوْا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِیْنَ(5)

And new advice does not come to them from the Most Gracious, but they turn their faces away therefrom.

26.6

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوْا فَسَیَاْتِیْهِمْ اَنْۢبٰٓؤُا مَا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ(6)

So, they have indeed belied; the news (of punishment) is now about to come of their mockery.

26.7

اَوَ لَمْ یَرَوْا اِلَى الْاَرْضِ كَمْ اَنْۢبَتْنَا فِیْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِیْمٍ(7)

Have they not seen the earth, how many significant pairs We have grown in it?

26.8

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیَةًؕ-وَ مَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ(8)

Indeed, in this there is definitely a sign, and most of them are not to believe.

26.9

وَ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الرَّحِیْمُ۠ (9)

And your Lord; indeed, definitely only He is the Dignified, the Most Merciful.
