Para 11 - یَعْتَذِرُوْنَ

مَا كَانَ لِاَهْلِ الْمَدِیْنَةِ وَ مَنْ حَوْلَهُمْ مِّنَ الْاَعْرَابِ اَنْ یَّتَخَلَّفُوْا عَنْ رَّسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ وَ لَا یَرْغَبُوْا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖؕ-ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ لَا یُصِیْبُهُمْ ظَمَاٌ وَّ لَا نَصَبٌ وَّ لَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ وَ لَا یَطَـٴُـوْنَ مَوْطِئًا یَّغِیْظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَ لَا یَنَالُوْنَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّیْلًا اِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهٖ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یُضِیْعُ اَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِیْنَۙ (120)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

It was not proper for the people of Madinah and the people of the surrounding villages to stay behind the (Beloved) Messenger of Allah (i.e. not joining the Jihaad), nor to consider their own lives dearer than his life; this is because the thirst, or the pain, or the hunger that afflicts them in the Way of Allah, or wherever any step they take, due to which the disbelievers get angry, or whatever harm they cause to an enemy; a good deed is recorded for them as a recompense of all of these; indeed, Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous.
