Surah Al Baqarah Ayat 259 Translation

Para 3 - تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

2.259

اَوْ كَالَّذِیْ مَرَّ عَلٰى قَرْیَةٍ وَّ هِیَ خَاوِیَةٌ عَلٰى عُرُوْشِهَاۚ-قَالَ اَنّٰى یُحْیٖ هٰذِهِ اللّٰهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۚ-فَاَمَاتَهُ اللّٰهُ مِائَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهٗؕ-قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتَؕ-قَالَ لَبِثْتُ یَوْمًا اَوْ بَعْضَ یَوْمٍؕ-قَالَ بَلْ لَّبِثْتَ مِائَةَ عَامٍ فَانْظُرْ اِلٰى طَعَامِكَ وَ شَرَابِكَ لَمْ یَتَسَنَّهْۚ-وَ انْظُرْ اِلٰى حِمَارِكَ وَ لِنَجْعَلَكَ اٰیَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَ انْظُرْ اِلَى الْعِظَامِ كَیْفَ نُنْشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوْهَا لَحْمًاؕ-فَلَمَّا تَبَیَّنَ لَهٗۙ-قَالَ اَعْلَمُ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ(259)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

Or like the one (i.e. the Prophet 'Uzair) who passed through a village, and that (village) was lying collapsed on its roofs. He said, 'How will Allah revive it, after it had perished?' So, Allah left him dead for a hundred years, then brought him back to life. He (Allah) said, 'How long have you remained here?' He submitted, 'I stayed maybe for a day or a part of it.' He (Allah) said, 'Rather, a hundred years have passed you by, and observe your food and drink which has not yet produced a stale odour, and observe your donkey (the bones of which were not even intact); and this was done so that We may make you a sign for the people, and observe the bones as to how We raise them and then cover them with flesh.' When the matter became clear to him, he said, 'I know very well that Allah is Able to do everything.'
